Nevermore Tasks 015

[Sebastian's getting rather bored with nothing to do and no progression. A table appears into view with the butler's hands at the main point of focus. He's near the lake within the grass where a good picnic spot under a tree is located. He sets down a few fabricated glass dishes. In one he cracks a few eggs and starts to whisk them, waiting until the foam. It took him a couple of hours to obtain them. Omelet chickens alone were hard to find and more than half the time he didn't get regular eggs, but omelet eggs themselves.

Picking up two canisters he sets the smaller one in the middle of the big one, and then pours in the foam, adding sugar to it as he whisks it slowly until it starts to stiffin. In goes the strawberry milk from one Pinky the cow and then the lid is sealed. Ice and salt are added to the outside area around the smaller can and again it's sealed.

His tongue sweeps out, slowly licking over his bottom lip as he turns the can and slowly rolls it back. Those crimson eyes focus on the can alone, waiting for the insides to churn slowly. Delicately the canister sweeps over his hands, along his fingers, his wrists and his gloved knuckles. Only when he sets it back down does he open it, revealing the pink strawberry icecream within.

Picking up a spoon, he dips it inside, scooping a little to bring it up to his soft lips, capturing the taste and sliding the spoon out clean]

Mm. Sweet and just right.

[His red tongue again curls at the edge of his lip, licking a little. A perfect treat for semi cloudy august afternoon. Just what souls will he attract to such a treat he wonders. Who is willing?]

[He pulls a very small face. No one's ever called him "mister" before and he's not sure if he likes it. Then his eyes grow wide and hopeful.]

R-really? I mean, yes! Thank you! You're very kind!

[A curt little bow at the waist, pressing his hand to his chest]

I do mean it, good sir. [The compliments mostly slide off save for a short thank you]

[Urgh, he's calling him "sir" again. Merlin ignores it in the face of possibly getting to try a new food.] Um. You're at the lake, right?

I can be there soon.

That is correct. I should be here for a couple of more hours while I work on a few more batches.

I'll be there as soon as I can!

I shall be awaiting your presence.

[Shortly after, Merlin stumbles into the clearing, looking a bit of a mess.]

S-sorry for taking so long. I-um-got lost.

It is quite alright. You do not need to apologize to me. I was waiting patiently.

[Merlin looks a bit startled - mostly because people usually are never patient with him.]

Oh. That's... good.

[He's not a very patient demon, but he has to be because of his job

So far while waiting, I've been able to make strawberry, chocolate, vanillia and mint.

[If Merlin knew what a candy shoppe was, he'd definitely have the kid in a candy shoppe look.]

Which one would you suggest?

[Fingers spread, expressing each dish] That all depends. Do you prefer something sweet, crisp, smooth, or creamy?

Vanilla is very creamy and smooth. Chocolate is smooth and sweet. Strawberry and creamy and sweet, and mint is crisp and sweet.

[Merlin didn't know what he preferred - he'd never been exposed to something like this before. But he remembers something Freya said, once, and they'd always looked so good on the noble's plates, even if Arthur had guarded them with a tenacity that bordered on ridiculous and Merlin had never actually gotten the chance to taste one.]

Strawberry... I think.

Er. Please.

[He'll dish a good amount and present it to him with the spoon almost too perfectly tapped into the top]

Pardon me, but I cannot help but notice you are unsure. You may have some of each if you are not satisfied with just the strawberry.

O-oh. Oh no, this is fine, really. Thank you.

[Cautiously, he takes a little bite. His eyes widen slightly and he takes a larger one.]

This is. This is amazing!

[He smiles a little and bows just a bit] Thank you, but it is only ice cream.

[Ah, he shouldn't take so large of a bite with something so cold..]

But I've never had ice cream befo--NNGH.

[Ooh, brainfreeze.]

You haven't? Then you probably don't know about the --

[A small little smirk] brain freeze. Don't eat too fast or your head will hurt just a little.

[Thanks for the late warning, Sebastian.] Owwwwww... oh, it's like the dragon is shouting in my head again...

[He'll hardly raise a brow at the mention of a dragon instead of something else. So he was use to mythical creatures. It made him think he was quite the interesting man.]

I suppose. It'll go away if you eat slower.

[Nodding vaguely.] It's getting a bit better, thank you.

[This constant thanking. It's a little annoying. It's just a service, but no matter]

I'm afraid I'm quite curious. Just where do you hail from, Merlin?

[Normally Merlin is the one doing to servicing - it's quite a nice change to be served in this case.

He takes another smaller bite of ice cream.]

Mm. Camelot. Ealdor, before that.

Camelot? Would that make you a knight? To not know of such a popular treat intrigues me.

Oh! No! No, no, me? I'm just Merlin. I'm a servant for the castle.
