...Perhaps so. It is quite unlikely for us to be sent home. If I were the Animus, I would have sent everyone home without warning, just like what happened with the previous disappearances.

Similiar to the other disappearances, they were given no warning. Why then, would they suddenly tell us now? Pardon me for seeming rude, but such Gracious hosts that take what they want from us and provide no solace or comfort, or even time to say goodbye, would hardly see fit in their usual fashion.

The Animus thrives in our despair - we are like subjects to them, being experimented in event by event for the sake of their amusement. If they had so much fun with us, why send us back home now?

There is only one plausible reason, in my opinion, that fits in all of this perfectly -

From what I've heard, the Animus often do this thing just to tease. How very unbecoming of them. Spirits and otherworldly beings can be rather cruel.

Many unpleasantries await me in London so my master tells me.

Among them, my death. It's rather hard to serve one's master when they're dead, and not just in body.

As much as I dislike this place, from the ruin, to the events, to the cold, I'd rather stay and serve master Integra here than return home and fight the enemy to my enivitable demise.
