[The PCD crackles to life as he flicks it on, thumb resting against the edge. The thunder cracks above and the cat in his arms already skittish from all the weather leaps out the open window he was checking. Panic actually flashes across his face as he makes a grab at her and when she goes into the water, so does he, leaping in after her without a moment's hesitation. He's cold but it's hardly a concern when such a life is on the line. He pushes through the water, shoving floating things to the side.]

Lady! Lady!

[He keep calling her name even when she doesn't answer at first, the PCD crackling at the water from how he jammed it into his breast pocket. The meow he's been waiting for attracts his attention and there his beloved feline is on top of the chicken coop, cold and wet, frantically clinging to a wet surface. With a burst of speed, he's upon her, snatching her into his arms. Taking her into the water is unacceptable so he climbs up. The coop does not hold his weight for long as it crumbles underneath and with tight arms, he leaps onto the roof of the Phantomhive Manor. The claws in his neck aren't even an issue when he lowers back to the window]

Oh, my apologizes my Lady. I wasn't aware you were that afraid of the thunder. Let's get you cleaned and warmed, hmm?

The Animus don't have anything to do with it. It's something that can't be taken or disappear. No matter what happens.

[Chuckles] I was wrong. It isn't hope you have, but foolishness. Anything can be taken. Anything can disappear.

Your lack of evidence does not convince me. If it wasn't that they admit they get bored I'm sure the effects would last much longer. You'll have to pardon me now while I tend to the flooding. I don't have time to banter a useless discussion.

Isn't the real reason you're running away from it because you know in a part of yourself that this is true?

Not in the slightest. There is a flood outside and my Lady is wet. I don't speculate nor perceive. What is true is true and what is not laid out in facts, is not possible. I wouldn't remember any of you nor would I care to. This is not my life. This is not where I should be. Not everyone fits to your happy little puzzle.

Running away won't change it either.

Not everyone can be part of your little daydream. Wake up. Realize where you are. Someone has taken you from your home, where you belong as they have taken me and my young master. You're the one running away from where you belong if you think this is all going to end blissfully.

Everyone will forget you. Everyone will continue on with their lives. I'm not running away. I wouldn't dream of it if I could. I want to return to my life. It's as simple as that. Nothing can change that. There is no part of me that'll remember anyone not worth remembering.

I'm awake. [She smiles.] I can say these things because I'm awake. Because I've seen them in my world, in other worlds, and even here.

[A cruel chuckle] The truely sad part is that you won't even remember you were wrong when you return. That you refused to believe what is true. That you convinced others of your lies.

They aren't lies. [Ah, Sebas. She almost understands how afraid you are right now, but she doesn't compromise when it comes to truth, and the confident smile stays undisturbed.]

I already returned and came back.

Very well. [He hates liars and to him he truely believes she is lying to herself. There's no fear present. It's not something the demon feels. There's nothing he fears.]

And you only remembered because the Animus allowed you to slowly and allowed you to return at all. Not slow enough it seems.

The Animus are nothing compared to a person's hopes and feelings. They can only pretend for awhile.

[There's a rather flat look. He's getting bored at her constant prattle.] Yes, I believe that is a good note to end on today.
