Good afternoon, Astringendum,

It seems the rain has calmed a little, but I wonder how long. It should do well for the gardens in general. I've taken the liberaty of starting a small one in the back of the manor with what few seeds I've taken from the vegetables I've served the young master --rather few--, though not knowing the fertility of the soil, I'm not quite sure exactly how it will fare. [Not that he can't just cheat and will them to grow anyways. He's merely trying to start up a conversation.

He settles more feed into the owl feeder, but doesn't give it any treats. That's Ciel's job to pamper his own pet. It doesn't seem to like him as much as Ciel anyways. He picks up a package under his arm and makes his way out of the manor. Clearly there are signs of walking]

Do the seasons fit in normal standards? April showers bring May flowers, is the term I refer to, but is it similar here in the terms of seasons and weather?

[He stops, unwrapping the package of meat, smiling pleasantly. He sets it down on the ground rather close to a small opening somewhere, waiting patiently until the Yodare show up. He doesn't move even when they descend like pirranas upon the meat. Gloved fingers outstretch to lean down to pet one. Hopefully this time it'll work.

Unfortunately, it does not, and his hand is quick to snatch away from teeth, leaping out of harms way into a tree, and then off onto a building. He sighs, as if displeased] Ah, failed attempt four hundred and thirty nine.

[Sebastian, do you practice being creepy?]

A squid?

[Practice makes perfect. And Sebastian is perfect in EVERY way]

A giant hostile squid. I can take you there if you want to show you.

[Show-off. But you know what, he's feeling adventurous today.]

That sounds like something worth seeing. Yes, show me.

[He's already picking Ciel up, leaning down a little towards his ear]

Is that an order, Ciel?

[He'll lean into Sebastian's shoulder with a low hum, linking an arm over his shoulders.]

Take me to the lake, Sebastian.

[Sebastian can get there fast enough, leaping off the window, it mysteriously closing behind him and locking, leaving the owl within unless it escapes elsewhere.]

Yes, my lord.

[It'll only take him two minutes]

[The owl twitters and dodges back, but Ciel can't hear it. Traveling this fast, everything seems cold and sharp, and he'll cling hard. Nnnngh. Only to lift his head as soon as they get there, watching the water and the ripples of the wind over it.]

Not so different from home. Grey.

[His crimson eyes are on those waters, waiting for any unnatural ripple, setting Ciel down only if he stops clinging so hard.

The world is always grey to him] Various aqua life is found in these waters. Fish isn't overwhelming in numbers, but there is enough to take either a few a day. [ It's usually one every now and then.]

[Shush, it takes him a minute. But he'll stay near Sebastian, chill wind whipping at his cheeks.]

... just how big is this squid?

[His hand slides up briefly on the other side to place against Ciel's cheek, feeling it for warmth]

I am not entirely sure, my lord. I have only seen its tentacles so far.

[He's fine. It's a bit chilly out, so his cheeks are a little pink, but otherwise he's the correct temperature.]

... it's been quite a while since I've have squid.

[His hand leaves immediately, turning a curious look down at Ciel. It's only a moment before he walks to the lake side]

It is far larger than myself.

[He'll settle down on a rock, chin in his hand, and make a motion with the other, a little smirk on his face. Go on~]

[His brows narrow for a moment, turning back towards the lake. He's not sure what Ciel is expecting to see, but he slides off his jacket, rolls up his sleeves and steps into the water, eyeing the surface for fish]

[To stay alive, of course. But he does so like watching Sebastian fight things.]

Salmon don't stay in the shallows, Sebastian.

[A faint twitch of brow. He's aware of that. He wades more into the water, getting his clothes wet, gloves skimming along the water top]

So it's Salmon, and not just fish. I understand.

You suggested salmon, I recall.

Yes, I did. Now that it is confirmed...

[He slides in for into deeper waters, suddenly twisting around and disappearing from the surface, diving down]

[So very, very not worried about this, but he'll watch anyway, a distant sort of smirk in place.]

[The water is very still, only because he's diving, until it suddenly seems to be alive and stir, causing ripples and bubbles above until the first fish leaps out of the water followed by several others. They scattered back in and swim away in all directions.

Sebastian's back up in seconds, lightly treading water with a fish squirming in his hands]

[A bit uneventful, but oh well. It's still a bit funny to watch.]

I wonder if you'd make as good a bird dog.

[He starts to wade himself out of the water towards the shore, eyes shimmering for a moment at the clear presence beneath him. His fingers secure the fish by the tail.

With a troubled sigh, he gives Ciel an annoyed look, before he's jerked under water by a sudden tentacle wrapping around him.]

[The smirk falters, just a bit, and his visible eye minutely widens. Okay, that was big. That was very, very big.

He steps forwards, shoes touching the edge of the water, and stares at the surface. ... no. He'd be fine, right?]

[Sebastian's gone for a moment, staring endlessly forward at the squid, his body twisting the minute he gets those suckers off. He kicks hard, pushing upwards in a sudden burst of speed out of the water, droplets everywhere.

He grins a little. If Ciel wants to see, then he's going to let him see. Instead of breaking the upward momenteum, his body keeps climbing higher, the two tentacles weaving out of the water, even the squid breaking the surface, showing nearly half of its body]

[... now this is entertainment. Ciel's shoulders relaxed and the smirk came back in full force. He crossed his arms, watching the thing try to go after his butler. He only had Sebastian's size to go by, but that thing had be much larger than a train engine.

Its eyes were larger than he was tall.]
